The Republic FC will also happen to be hosting a friendly the same day against West Bromwich Albion, which is an English Premier League club. West Brom will be the highest quality club ever brought to Sacramento and the only EPL team to come to Northern California this year. This is a celebratory event recognizing many youth and adult soccer achievements in the Sacramento region! Your Sac Soccer Day ticket will also give you access to the State Fair on the July 25.

Attention beer fans—on July 19th taste the best brews in the State! Purchase a $20 wristband and you will be entitled to ten-5oz. samples of award winning brews from the State Fair’s Commercial Craft Brew Competition. All guests to the Brewer’s Festival will receive a souvenir mug. $5 Designated Driver tickets available at the door and kids are free. Tickets to Brewer’s Festival do not include State Fair admission or parking. The Brewer’s Festival will be located at the Grandstands.

The 17th annual Northern California Homebrewers Festival is a two day campout at Lake Francis in Dobbins, CA, where homebrew clubs gather to share their well-crafted home brews. Featuring live music, a raffle, nationally known speakers, a club-only competition, a premier Brewers Dinner, and more.
Due to the historically overwhelming number of interested brewers, the first 60 percent of tickets will sell this Sunday, beginning at 10 am. The remaining tickets will go on sale Saturday, July 26th, at 10 am. They will sell out. The festival happens September 19-20, 2014

Once again, our great American scientific establishment proves just how invaluable beer is to us. Not only is it a great drink, but research has proven that marinading meats in beer reduces PAH’s (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) that form on meat when it’s grilled or BBQ’d. Dark beers were shown to have the best effect, reducing PAH’s by 53 percent!
We, of course, are immediately sacrificing ourselves for you in the name of science, and are marinading steaks at home. We’ll tell you later how the experiment went
